The Youth Club will be open to juniors in half-term, with sessions running on:

Help make some decorations & prepare for the party.
Wednesday 28th October
6.00 – 8.00pm

Bring a friend, too!
Unfortunately we have had no volunteers to run senior sessions. All seniors and parents are invited to a meeting on Friday the 4th of November from 7.00 – 8.00pm to discuss the future of senior sessions. It’s been suggested that we change senior sessions to Thursdays when more volunteers are available and we’ll discuss this at the meeting. It would be really helpful if you could also help find volunteers, these can be anyone aged 18+: older brothers or sisters, neighbours, friends or parents. There is a volunteer recruitment process & we will DBS check people but we really need some suggestions of people who can help out. Please come to the meeting or e-mail if you know someone who can help.
The Dulverton Youth Club AGM was held last night and new trustees were elected. They are: Victoria Ward (Chair), Jenny Barker (Secretary), Jon Matthews, John Atkins, Michele Shortman, Rachel Darton. The minutes of the AGM will be uploaded as soon as possible.
The trustees aim to reopen the Youth Club during the first week of October, with a Junior session running on Wednesdays (6.00 – 7.30pm)and a Senior session running on Fridays (7.00 – 9.00pm). There will be no Monday Juniors or HEY group running until we are able to recruit a Youth Worker.
We can only reopen the club if we have a rota of people able to help run sessions. If you are a parent or young person able to volunteer on a weekly or fortnightly basis, please contact Michele by e-mail or on 07837 196334.
We will hold the Annual General Meeting for the Youth Club on Friday the 16th of September at 7.00pm at Riverside Youth Centre, Kemps Way, Dulverton. Please come along if you are a young person, parent or interested in the youth club. This is an important meeting, as we will review the last year of the youth club, elect new trustees, including those standing for re-election, and discuss the reopening of the Youth Club. If you can volunteer to run sessions, would like to stand as a trustee or help in other way, please come along or contact Victoria Ward, Chair of DDYPP.
We have a vacancy for a Worker in Charge of the Youth Club, please see the Job Vacancies page for full details.
We’re holding a meeting for parents (and young people) at Riverside at 7.00pm on Thursday 23rd June. Come & let us know what you’ve liked about the parent-led sessions, your thoughts on the future. We want to discuss mobile phones & hot drink policies and we’re happy to talk about other issues too.
The Youth Club Open Day held on Saturday the 16th of April was a great success and we had many interested visitors through the door. Here are some of the parents, young people and visitors:

Many thanks to Dulverton Town Council for their recent award of over £1,000 of match funding for Dulverton Youth Club. This funding matches funds raised by pro-active activities carried out by the young people and parents of the club. Let us know if you have an idea for another fundraiser & watch out for news of more.
