Youth Work Assistant (one – two evenings per week) £7.50/hourJobshare candidates are welcome to apply.A vacancy exists at Dulverton Youth Club for a Worker in Charge, working on one evening per week and a Youth Work Assistant working one or two evenings per week, or less often if posts are job-shared.This is a vibrant youth club with numerous facilities for young people including fun and varied sessions. The Youth Worker in Charge will plan and deliver sessions and activities for juniors aged 6 – 10 years, with the support of parent volunteers (or a Youth Work Assistant if recruited). At present, Juniors runs on a Wednesday from 6.00 – 7.30pm but day & time can be negotiated at interview.A Youth Work Assistant is needed on Wednesday & Thursday evenings to assist with sessions and interact with young people, again days & times may be negotiated at interview.

Interview date: Planned for the week of TBC (please state available dates in your application) at Riverside Youth Centre Dulverton. Times to be confirmed. Appointment to this post is subject to references and an enhanced check via the Disclosure and Barring Service to confirm that you are a suitable person to have substantial access to young people. The post is subject to a six month probationary period.
